How It Works
Fuel Cost = (Distance Γ· MPG) Γ Price per Gallon. Distance divided by fuel economy gives gallons needed, multiplied by the pump price.
Example
A 300-mile trip at 30 MPG with gas at $3.50/gallon = 10 gallons Γ $3.50 = $35.00.
