How It Works

Gross = Net Γ— (1 + VAT Rate / 100). The VAT portion alone is Net Γ— Rate / 100. To remove VAT instead, divide the gross by (1 + Rate / 100).

Example

$100 net at 20% VAT = $120.00 gross ($20 of VAT).

Frequently Asked Questions

UK 20%, Germany 19%, France 20%, Spain 21%, Brazil’s new IBS/CBS around 26.5%. Many countries use reduced rates for food and books.
